Aggeliki Papoulia, Christos Passalis, and Giorgos Valais co-founded Blitz theater group in 2004, – a theater group that gained recognition in Europe for its avant-garde, “devised” approach to theater performance. Blitz were nominated for the 13th Europe Theater Prize “New Theatrical Realities,” in 2012. To this day, the three co-counders have co-written, co-directed and played in all the group’s performances. They have presented their work in numerous festivals, in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and, naturally, Greece.

Angeliki Papoulia was born in Athens. She held the leading role in the film “Dogtooth” by Yorgos Lanthimos, which received the “Un Certain Regard” award at the 2009 Cannes Films Festival and was nominated for Best International Feature at the 83rd Academy Awards. She was also the protagonist of “Alps,” another film by Yorgos Lanthimos, which received the Best Screenplay Award at the 68th Venice Film Festival; she also played in his film “The Lobster,” which received the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Christos Passalis was born in Thessaloniki. He starred in the films: “Dogtooth” by Yorgos Lanthimos, “Black Field” by Vardis Marinakis, “Homeland” by Syllas Tzoumerkas, and “History’s Future” by Fiona Tan.

Giorgos Valais was born in Greece. He has worked as an actor in cinema, collaborating in the films “In the Name of the Sparrow” by Kyros Papavassiliou (2007 Cannes Film Festival, official selection), “Homeland” by Syllas Tzoumerkas (2010 Venice Film Festival, official selection), and “Fan” by Dimitris Bitos (2015).
