Béla Pintér

The director and actor Béla Pintér was born in 1970 in Budapest, Hungary. Pintér, who stages his own plays in which he also performs, founded his theatre ensemble called Béla Pintér and Company in 1998.
With Pintér’s leadership, artistic and otherwise, the Company is dedicated to create contemporary productions based on critical, (self)ironic observations of the Hungarian society — the surreal world which characterizes the Company’s performances is constructed from a combination of reality and dream, of authentic and kitsch, and from sundry elements of Hungarian culture.
His play "Our Secrets" has won in 2014 the Theatre Critics’ Awards for the Best Production and Hungary's best new drama and the Best Production in Vidor Festival, Hungary.
