Theory Seminars
A series of two-day theory seminar sessions, as part of the Critical Practices Program in Fall 2019, focusing on discursive processes, created and facilitated by curator Ioanna Gerakidi.
Each two-day Theory Seminar session focuses on the work of the five Critical Practices Program participants, using discursive processes -both through individual meetings and through group conversations and collective exercises. The program concentrates on theoretical structures affecting or being affected by each participant’s work and/or a series of references on systemic or non-systemic frameworks (from galleries and institutes to journals and festivals and more) that their work can reach both in Greece and internationally. The aforementioned axes are co-formed with the participants on an individual basis, according to their current desires and needs. Some of the themes overlapping between the participants’ practices are used as axes or as a starting point of conversation.
