FALL 2019
SEPTEMBER 19–21, 2019

SPRING 2020
FEBRUARY 24–26, 2020 (PART A)
APRIL 27–29, 2020 (PART B)

The method is an intensely discursive peer-to-peer tool with which we can address interdisciplinary artistic practices. Its starting point derives from philosophical practices, such as the Socratic Dialogue. Such a workshop is primarily an exercise of collective thinking and of vivid reflection on a specific artistic work; it aims to both address the work-in-progress, and the overall artistic practice. Each workshop participant is invited to activate their knowledge and professional expertise in a structured way, and experience the three positions that constitute the function of such a workshop; the positions of feedback-giver, of feedback-receiver and of moderator. In the course of the workshop we first examine its origins: the method’s conceptual and philosophical apparatus. The next step is to practice the method’s 10 concrete formats in the course of a number of feedback sessions, each one being dedicated to an individual (or collaborative) artistic practice.
