The Orgamites characters have come to help children understand the importance of organ donation and transplantation in an easy and fun way. Orgamites believe that it’s what’s inside that counts, literally and metaphorically. In order to look well on the outside, we need to be healthy on the inside.

Captain Marrow

Captain Marrow is the leader of the Orgamites. He supports them and keeps the group together. His duties include the production of red blood cells, which are necessary in the process of blood formation, as well as the production of white blood cells, which are responsible for our body’s defense.

Captain Marrow

Heart

He is the emotional leader of the group. This organ is our body’s conductor. Heart beats loudly with a steady rhythm, pumping blood around our body and allowing our organs to function.

Heart

Lungs

The inseparable lung twins are always together, always pulsing in and out and bringing oxygen into the blood flow.

Lungs

Kidney

Most people are born with two of those bean-shaped organs. Kidney is in charge of everything that is to do with water and responsible for keeping the blood clean, so he is always very very busy.

Kidney

Liver

Just like in a busy factory, our liver works together with the rest of our organs producing substances that help us digest and absorb our food as well as to store energy.

Liver

Small Bowel

He is always thinking and talking about food. He hates being called small, since, when fully outstretched, his length is up to six times the height of a toddler.

Small Bowel

Eye

Eye knows everything about everything but is really hiding his insecurities, as he is a vulnerable organ. His job is to observe the world and send messages to the brain.

Eye

Pancreas

Pancreas is the quiet one. She says little but when need be she always supports the team, especially Bowel whom she helps with digestion.
