Triple Signal

“Triple Signal” belongs to the legendary “Signaux” series, a body of work that evolved through various iterations throughout Takis’ career, establishing his reputation on the international art scene. His signals are reminiscent of antennas, traffic lights, or even astronomical instruments. At the top of them, an industrial-era object stands as a hallmark of the technological age that left its imprint on his sculptural practice. The three movable elements of this work, positioned at different heights, function as transmission points for information. In an era of rapid technological advancements, these sculptures evoke signal receivers from outer space, suggesting early radar and telecommunications systems. Yet, they retain a profoundly poetic quality, proposing a new, intuitive relationship between humans and technology. They turn once again toward the universe, engaging in an open dialogue with its cosmic forces.
