The Brain
Sculpture
Description
“The Brain” takes the form of a capsule composed of various metal pieces—a microcosm in perfect balance. Takis depicts a system in which individual geometric elements are held together at the center through magnetism, creating a visible tension between attraction and repulsion. Here, the metaphor of the brain as a field of energy, where information moves through unseen forces, aligns with the scientific and philosophical inquiry that permeates Takis’ entire body of work. This sculpture reflects his ongoing fascination with the mysterious relationships that form a structure, whether that be the human mind or the universe itself. It thus becomes a symbol of knowledge and communication, prompting us to reflect on the invisible potential that surrounds us.
