Description

Takis’ “Flower” translates nature into a metallic, geometric form. The artist draws inspiration from the structure of flowers, viewing them not merely as aesthetic compositions but as signs of vital presence. Just as blossoms attract bees through their color and scent, this work seems to function as a signal to its surroundings, activating its connection to space. Its form is dynamic as if frozen in a moment of motion. The helix at its top is reminiscent of the spirals that often appear in Takis’ work. Here, nature and mechanics coexist, creating a ‘living’ image through the metal’s ‘rigid’ qualities.
