Can technology transfer actions and offices in universities and research centers prove truly sustainable? What can we learn from countries that have decades of similar experience?

How does research activity change following the introduction of technology transfer offices and how can we envisage the field of research and innovation in the upcoming decade as a result of these offices? Furthering its presence in the field of innovation, the Onassis Foundation seeks together with the research and business ecosystem the ways and conditions in which technology transfer offices can have the substantial impact for which they are initially designed for. The third workshop of the “Research and Technology Transfer Business Development” series poses the significant question of how we see the future of Technology Transfer Offices in the long term, as well as how can we assess their success or failure. As the first phase of introducing Technology Transfer Offices into the Greek research and innovation landscape is being completed, this is the right moment to speak not only on the desirable, but also the feasible outcomes, always maintaining as a goal the release of creative forces and the development of a sustainable environment for research and innovation.
