Introduction

This leading Japanese visual artist and composer is coming to Onassis Stegi with two performers to break down materials, images, sounds, and human behaviors with an energy and intensity that leaves audiences shaken.

Ryoji Ikeda won international recognition by processing sounds, visual material, mathematical concepts and natural phenomena in installations, concerts and work-in-progress productions. After sold-out appearances at the Barbican, the Centre Pompidou, Kyoto Experiment and ZKM, the Japanese visual artists and composer comes to the Onassis Stegi with two performers. In "superposition" (2012), Ryoji Ikeda achieves a fission of material, images, sounds and human behaviors whose energy and intensity lights up the audience.
