Under its artistic director, George Petrou, the Camerata once again initiates a dialogue between old and new.

Concerti grossi by baroque masters Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi and George Frideric Handel singularly performed by the Camerata on period instruments provides a leaping-off point for a musical game with songs by the Beatles and Elvis Presley re-imagined by the Slovakian composer, Peter Breiner!

With a teasing wink at our beloved Early Music, Breiner brings his genius, humor and expertise to bear on compositions which are as demanding as they are rewarding for musicians and audience alike. After all, who could resist a baroque version of “Αre you Lonesome Tonight?”.
