Rigas' name fronts a number of publications and actions and Vienna provided the conditions most favourable in his era for the emergence of a Greek community aligned in its adherence to a single intellectual belief system.
But who can be considered part of Rigas' circle, and what were the conditions that encouraged freedom of thought and action in Vienna?
