Let's meet up at the Agricultural University on Sundays! Workshops, walks, talks, true food as part of Geometries exhibition, to discover and enjoy the urban landscape.

Program

19:00 | “The Body as Landscape”: Α performance by students of the Agricultural University following a workshop by Iris Nikolaou & Rebecca Tsiligaridou

The final performance will be based on an eight-week improvisational workshop for students and professors using contemporary dance, Butoh, viewpoints, mindfulness and meditation techniques in which the participants will have investigated anew their relationship to the Agricultural University’s landscape.

Iris Nikolaou is an actress and movement coach, and teaches movement and improvisation to professionals and amateurs, adults and children.
Rebecca Tsiligaridou is an actress and viewpoints teacher (improvisation and composition method) for amateurs, actors, students and children.

20:00 | “PANACEA hearth > utensils > edibles”: A feast by Standart Thinking

Following a two-week workshop exploring fundamental processes and interactions between food and eating, a final feast will be held, cooked in ceramic utensils and a hearth made during the workshop. Locally sourced food will be shared alongside bread from an Emmer workshop by Eparkia, a cooperative based in Thrace.

Standart Thinking is a collaborative project rooted in action research and education set within a socio-ecological framework.
Eparkeia is a social cooper ative enterprise in Xanthi, Greece, aiming to promote self-sufficiency in food and energy.

Location: Orchard | The event is addressed only to workshop participants.

21:30 | “Ecodrome”: Curated by Céline Condorelli and Filipa Ramos

“Ecodrome” is a film programme spread out across five screening sessions which combine documentaries, artists’ films and feature-length films that deal with the consequences of living in a dangerously warmer world for people, animals and landscape alike.
Hosted in Cinema Zagara, designed by Céline Condorelli, as a set of mini-architectural structures that pay tribute to Jantar Mantar, an astronomic observatory located in Delhi, India.

This Sunday a series of films dedicated to FIRE:
- “Coal Money”, Wang Bing, China, 2009, HD, 53 min.
- “Forest Law”, Ursula Biemann, 2014, Switzerland, HD, 38 min.
- “Inhabitants”, Artavazd Peleshian, 1970, Armenia, 35 mm transferred to digital video, 9 min.

With an introduction by the curator Filipa Ramos.

23:00 | “PURELAND”: A reading by Dora Economou

A reading of excerpts from the diary of a newish driver and origami dilettante while she attempts to follow, reproduce and translate directions from GPS and various YouTube tutorials, accompanied by slides of odd moments and mishaps on the road.
