14:00 | “Eat My Garden”, Lunch by Troō Food Liberation with wholemeal bread by Betty’s Bakery

A blossoming feast foraged from your garden, with the joy of life and the scent of Spring!
Troō Food Liberation is a collective that creates “Real Food”. The group’s key manifesto is that unprocessed foods from sustainable harvesting, contributes towards a positive evolution of our sociopolitical, ecological, and collective consciousness, offering a tangible “way out” for the future.
Betty’s Bakery is a bio-certified artisanal bakery working exclusively with sourdough and stone milled organic flour. It supports local communities,respects the environment and innovates in its recipes and work ethic.

17:00 | “The Garden as Cosmos and Microcosmos”: A lecture by Fay Zika

Following a series of adventures in the globalized landscape of the 18th century, Voltaire’s Candidecloses with the suggestion that “we cultivate our garden.” Although Voltaire uses gardens as a critique of the problematics of globalization, the lecture tries to show how through the migration of plants and cultivating techniques, a garden microcosm connects the local with the global.

Fay Zika is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Theory of Art in the Theory Department of the Athens School of Fine Art.

18:00 | “Concert for various objects” by Pierre Berthet

Music with drops, balloons, tubes, stones, vacuum cleaner, snail and mussel shells, hooks, dry plants, seeds etc. Blowing, hitting, shaking, moving, singing and more. This performance is part of Borderline Festival 2018, the electronic and experimental music festival that is held by the Onassis Cultural Centre-Athens for the 8th consecutive year.

Two more works by Pierre Berthet are presented at the Agricultural University: A sound installation (Vineyard, 20-22 April) and the performance Galileo (21 April | Free entrance | Reservation is required at infotickets@sgt.gr).
