Introduction

What would Odysseus find today if he sailed the Mediterranean? Pollution? Overfishing? Excessive tourism? Would he continue his journey aloof or would he leave the mark of his resourcefulness in each of his destinations?

Following the rhapsodies of “Odyssey” and with the aid of your imagination, you will record the changes our era would bring to the world of the mythical monsters, and you will help them pull through in the new environmental conditions.

Learn how a recycling station saves Haryvdi from the tones of plastic that make her suffocate, how the overcrowded island of Circe transforms into an agritourism center, and Cyclops’ PDO cheese dairy attracts connoisseurs from all over the world.

Afterwards, you will trace some of the ancient trade routes and hubs that the Greeks created in the Mediterranean, and you will build with simple materials a three-dimensional map with the highlights of your journey.
