The electronic music festival of Onassis Stegi moves to the industrial heart of Agios Ioannis Rentis and the new space of Onassis Ready. Two days, two stages, 15 DJ sets and live performances create a labyrinth of sound that transcends the boundaries of music and the city. In this year’s version of Borderline, Takis’ iconic works from the Onassis Collection interact with the industrial space and the music lineup, amplifying the experience of the electrifying festival.
For its 14th edition, Borderline Festival returns to Athens for two days in the new industrial spaces of Onassis Ready (April 11 & 12) with an extraordinary vision of bleeding-edge contemporary experimental electronics. Over two days and two stages, Borderline 2025 features 15 DJ sets and live performances, alongside kinetic sculptures by Takis combining the pulse of the dancefloor with mind-bending sonic and visual alchemy.
Art soundscape on the ground floor. Underground club in the basement. 2 stages, 2 distinct experiences at Onassis Ready.
This year’s edition of Borderline sweeps us into a grand twofold experience encapsulated in the duo: art soundscape vs underground club. On the ground-floor art soundscape, we encounter Ehohroma’s atmospheric soundscapes; Viki Steiri’s shifting, transcendental live compositions; Mr. Clarinet’s avant-garde concoction of tribal wave and industrial electronics; the experimental sonic narratives of Pinna Bounce; DJ Sex in one of his rare appearances; and the genre-defying broken electronics of Turbo Teeth.
Can an electromagnetic sphere compete with a synthesizer? Can a bronze flower turn toward a sound source? Can sound waves change course through an iron spiral? On the ground-floor, the audience will have the chance to experience up close a selection of the mind-blowing and unparalleled kinetic sculptures of the legendary self-taught Greek artist Takis (aka Panayiotis Vassilakis). An eclectic blend of audiovisual stimuli that transcends the boundaries of a DJ set or an exhibition.
The sonic experience continues in the basement. Here, things get underground, and the space transforms into a club. A meticulously crafted and obsessively refined set that allows the mind, body, and soul to experience everything in full intensity. World-renowned master of psychedelic and hypnotic electronic music Donato Dozzy and the adventurous heir of the British electronic tradition Joy Orbison (both making their debut in Greece) meet the visionary techno of Aurora Halal, the explosive mix of breakbeats, electro, and IDM by Mad Miran, the tribal sonic explorations of Iggor Cavalera, the experimental selections of AMR, the audiovisual performance of Forensis x Bill Kouligas, and the legendary Basic Channel co-founder, Moritz von Oswald, presenting his latest release, “Silencio.” Athens-based Echo Canyon brings his futuristic sonic approach, while fast-rising Madam X delivers her signature blend of all things bass.
Edgy sounds. New space. Together, we breathe life into Onassis Ready, the new venue of the Onassis Foundation. Borderline, the Onassis Stegi’s electronic music festival, is back. For the music, for the moment, for everyone.

Turbo Teeth
Sound, harnessed and unleashed, creates spaces within spaces. It can become a wall, a pathway, or a trap door. It distorts, expands, and condenses distances. Sound builds passages―between bodies, between meanings, between places and histories. It creates a new, temporary reality around the listener, a miraculous hall of mirrors where infinity, repetition, and paradox go hand in hand with luminous, electrified versions of the body, of desire, of agency, and of their place as nodes within an interlinked system of stories and narratives.
Borderline 2025, hosted in the new industrial spaces of Onassis Ready, creates a labyrinth of sound for the audience to immerse themselves in, visually aided by Takis’ breathtaking, electrifying kinetic sculptures on the ground floor. Through sheer sonic power, it builds rooms within rooms, hidden paths, ever-shifting pockets of exploration, tension, and release, where the listeners can lose and find themselves again and again.
