Enchanting tales narrated by a double bass and a baroque violin.

Barry Guy is a polystylistic musician with a huge catalogue of recordings and collaborations in the spheres of improvisation and contemporary composition to his name. Playing with Maya Homburger, a virtuoso of the baroque violin, the duo forge ahead into new realms of musical expression. That their program bridges such disparate periods is not some post-modern game; rather, the musical narration extends outwards like an arc to embrace a range of different tales. Following in the footsteps of other great musicians who have identified and developed the parallels between pre-classical and contemporary music, they bring together the musical idioms of very different eras and stir us with the unprecedented sonic combinations that ensue.
