Location

Open air cinema “Anesis”: 14 Kifisias Avenue, Athens

Οpen air cinema “Anesis” does not have wheelchair access.

In a summer mood, we reach the most beautiful terrace of Athens, the historic, listed and recently revamped οpen air cinema “Anesis” to see the best film of all time, Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”, in its digitally restored special edition.

In the last show of this season, we go off Onassis Stegi, look up and surrender to a cinephile “Vertigo”.

“I look up, I look down”, says detective John Scotty Ferguson (Jimmy Stewart) in the first scene of the movie as he battles with his acrophobia. So, what would be more fitting than our decision to do just that? To watch Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo in its digitally restored copy and celebrate its sixtieth anniversary (as it comes to Greece straight from its 71st Cannes Festival premiere) in a special showing on the recently restored terrace of the historic οpen air cinema “Anesis”.

Due to uncertain weather conditions, the film showing is to be held on 16 July at the same cinema.

The tickets for the 9 July showing are cancelled and the refund will depend on the form of payment:

  • For card users the amount due will be credited to the relevant bank account in about 10 workdays.
  • Cash purchases are refunded Monday through Sunday 9:00 to 21:00, in the Onassis Stegi ticket offices.
