Synopsis

The true story of a pair of left-wing political activists, played on screen by Dimitris Katalifos and Themis Bazaka. The story begins in 1954 – the year they meet – and follows them through trying years filled with illicit activity, persecution, arrests, and imprisonment. They are always trying to make the most of the limited time they have together. In 1967, under the Regime of the Colonels, the woman is sent to Averof Prison, where she gives birth to their son. The boy is raised inside the prison and goes on to be best man at his parents’ wedding, which also takes place in prison. The couple are finally freed in 1974, with the fall of the military junta and the establishment of the Third Hellenic Republic.
