Before knowing which is the energy of the future, does someone really know what is the energy of the present?

Panagiotis Adamopoulos

Panagiotis Adamopoulos meets Emmanuil Kakaras. The former is doing a master's degree in Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London as an Onassis Scholar. The latter is a Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, having received his scholarship in 1985. The two discuss the energy of the future, the "energy trilemma," and the importance of being a step ahead of your time.

Priorities change. One needs to be ready to discard what they had initially learned and gain new knowledge.

–Emmanuil Kakaras, 1985 Onassis Scholar
