Everything from the future of Greek theater to the digital arena, from alternative parenthood and collective models of artistic production to the grey areas of insidious violence and the Greek #MeToo movement, from the patriarchy to mainstream culture. Choices both free and forced, decisions both major and minor, the “old world” that’s being exposed for what it is, the acceptance of vulnerability, the desire to be understood, Britney Spears and memes, our own “icebergs” and the natural world.

There’s space for it all in this in-depth discussion between Onassis Stegi dramaturg Iliana Dimadi and the artists of Future N.O.W.: Ilias Adam, Vicky Kyriakoulakou, Eva Giannakopoulou, and Dimitris Bampilis – filmed to be made available on the Onassis Channel on YouTube. Future N.O.W. stands as a model of participatory action and companionship between artists who – though they did not know one another when their proposals were selected for the festival – have stood by one another throughout the months of research, rehearsals, and dress rehearsals for their productions, and throughout the filming of these works too. When someone doesn’t want to discuss something, this is likely your next performance. The artists of Future N.O.W. dare to talk about everything that concerns them. Which stories and realities are worth telling in future, and with what words must be told?
