WordMord

WordMord is an interdisciplinary artistic research process that aims to explore the complex ways in which language and technology intertwine with trauma and violence, but also with the body, pleasure, and sexuality. WordMord studies the potential to deconstruct and destabilize hegemonic patriarchal language, illuminating the performative and material/bodily dimensions of words and language. WordMord evolves through workshops, presentations, and collective projects: “Let's Assemble Our Wordy Arms_a performative laboratory” (Haus der Statistik, Berlin), “WordComminutes_a workshop on crashing language” (EIGHT, critical institute for arts and politics, Athens); “Dear [neutral] language (...)” (online workshop); “Manyfesto or how to dirtystruct the lexicon” (“Weaving Worlds” exhibition, ACG Art Gallery, Athens); “Double Single by Komminuteras_music gang” (online archive as part of the Year of the Women* project, Schwulen Museum, Berlin), Glossic Encounters (lecture performance, Slavs and Tatars project space, Berlin).
