Vladimiros Symeonidis is currently the Music Director of the ‘‘contra tempo’’ chamber orchestra Thessaloniki, Professor of Orchestra Conducting at the State Conservatoire Thessaloniki and he is a frequent guest conductor with all major Symphony Orchestras in Greece such as the Athens State Symphony Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, Greek National Opera, Athens Camerata etc.

He has worked together with some important European Orchestras such as the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble "die reihe", Ensemble Klangforum Wien, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta Belgrade, Sofia Philharmonic etc.

2006 to 2011 Maestro Symeonidis has been appointed Principal Conductor of the Greek National Radio Symphony Orchestra (ERT) and has collaborated with some of the wold’s finest soloists and composers such as Cyprien Katsaris, Cheryl Studer, Olli Kortekangas, Mikis Theodorakis, Simon Saheen, Georges Aperghis, Klaus Lienbacher, Theodor Antoniou, Martin Haselboeck, Myrto Papatanasiu, etc.

Recordings of Maestro Symeonidis have been broadcasted through E.B.U. in many European Countries. His latest recording of works by Greek Composer J.Papaioannou has been released by NAXOS in 2013.

Vladimiros Symeonidis has graduated from the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Magister Artium), attending (1993-1998) the legendary Conducting Class of Professor Uros Lajovic (Student of Hans Swarovsky). Further, he has studied Composition at the same University (Professor Erich Urbanner, 1993-1997) and Musicology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1989-1992).
