Vincent Martial

Vincent Martial is an artist, musician, and composer. Starting out as a flutist and percussionist, he has evolved through varied sound fields by means of sonic devices and music instruments, all of which he has conceived, developed, and built himself. Working either solo or in collaboration, he observes the transformation phenomena of matter with the aim of exploring its sonority. He is interested in the sounds and movements created live within scenic performances, as well as in the sound environment itself, the attention that we give to it, and its use within the artistic domain. His sound research is tightly connected to research into the plasticity of form. Out of this combination, he creates sound sculptures that transform the physical and acoustic spaces they occupy.
