Ute Wassermann is a voice artist, composer, performer, and improviser. She studied sound and performance art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, and singing at the University of California, San Diego. She tours the world as an improviser, and delivers audiovisual voice performances and compositions for soloists and ensembles. She has developed an ever-growing catalogue of multifaceted vocal expressions, which has inspired improvisors and composers all over the world. As an interpreter of contemporary music, she has premiered numerous compositions written for her voice. She regularly gives international masterclasses and lecture performances at universities, symposia, and festivals.
