Thanasis Triaridis

Thanasis Triaridis was born in 1970 in Thessaloniki. He was an activist for the social rights of Gypsies from 1996 until 2001, while since 2009 he is a conscientious objector. Since 2000, he has published 55 books, including narrations and essays.

For many years he has been running seminars on various aspects of Western civilization, as well as playwriting workshops. All of his books and plays are available on triaridis.gr and his translated texts on http://triaridis.com/.

He has published (in paper or digital format) 23 plays (including “Mengele,” “Oedinus,” “Lebensraum,” “Football,” “HIV,” the “Leopold” trilogy, etc.). These have resulted in more than 35 shows in Athens and other cities in Greece, Germany, and Cyprus, as well as online. His works have been translated into English, French, and German. In 2019, he co-founded with Vangelis Hadjiyannidis and Dimitris Tarlow the Playwriting School of Poreia Theater.
