Sabine Decatur
The TEAM's Associate Producer
Sabine Decatur (they/he) is an administrator, dramaturg, producer, and cultural worker currently working as an Associate Producer at The TEAM. Before moving to NYC, he spent five years at Baltimore Center Stage, where he served in a number of roles, including Special Artistic Coordinator, Executive Chief of Staff, and chair of the Antiracism & Anti-Oppression Committee. Sabine has worked as a producer and administrator with organizations, including the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival, Culture Project, the Schomburg Center, and the Bushwick Starr. He was a finalist for the 2018 Yale College Nakanishi Prize for leadership in advancing racial equity and the 2019 recipient of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas' Early Career Dramaturgy Grant. In 2023, Sabine was named one of “American Theatre Magazine”’s Theaterworkers to Watch. He serves on the Advisory Council for Groundwater Arts, an organization that aims to bring the arts and culture field towards a decolonized and climate-just future, and his written work has been published by “American Theatre Magazine,” the Yale School of Drama “Annual Magazine,” and “HowlRound.”
