Panorea Politi

Panorea Politi is a teacher of primary-education teacher.

She collaborates with the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy, and is the director of its Athens branch. She is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds an MSc from the Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine of the University of Sheffield (1998), for which she received a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. She also holds a PhD on Sports Medicine and Exercise Biology from the University of Athens (2005). She was a researcher at the Department of Sport Science of Manchester Metropolitan University through the Socrates Research Program of the State Scholarships Foundation (Greece), and at the Laboratory for Research of the Musculoskeletal System of the School of Medicine of the University of Athens (2000–2006), establishing electron microscopy in the filed of physical education. She has presented her research in numerous European and international conferences in the fields of physiology, myopathology, exercise biology, and electron microscopy. She has published in international scientific journals, and has participated in a wide-range of seminars focusing on environmental and intercultural education, human rights, and social coexistence. She has worked at the Therapy Centre for Dependent Individuals, the Hellenic Army Academy, and as adjunct lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (University of Athens).
