Olga Dalekou

Olga Dalekou was born in Athens, where she has been working as an actress since 2009. She is a third-year student at the Department of Theater Studies of the School of Philosophy of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and has also studied decorative arts at the TEI of Athens. She is a founding member of the Deaf Theater Group “Crazy Colors,” in which she supervises the rendering of theatrical texts in Greek sign language. At the same time, she has participated as a performer in various plays – mainly directed by Elli Merkouri (2011-2022), as well as by Giouli Tsagkaraki (2009–2011) – staging both ancient tragedies and other pieces from the world repertoire (Molière, Bulgakov, Beckett, Hearne, Roy) in venues such as the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, Ancient Olympia, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Municipal Theaters of Roumeli and Kavala, and more. She has participated in acting seminars and has collaborated with the Myrtillo, the café of diversity, which specializes in the education of vulnerable social groups. She has taught theater education at Pefki Special Primary School of Pefki and works as a sign language teacher at the KET School of Sign Language from 2019 to this day. She has participated as an actress in the play “The Dollhouse,” directed for the stage by Dimitri Tarlow (2022–2023).
