Odydoze, a Greek record producer and DJ, was born in 2003 in the suburbs of Athens and began playing drums at the age of five. He began his music career as a producer in 2018 at the age of fifteen. He attended the Experimental Music School of Pallini performing on piano, oud, and saz. As he continued to hone his production skills, while still in high school, he began to utilize online social media platforms, such as Instagram, to network with established rap artists in the US, as well as to submit beats for potential music production. He has produced the music theme for “Thanalysis,” a podcast hosted by Thanasis Antetokounmpo, and he’s featured in a short documentary about his trip to Atlanta, Georgia as an Onassis Resident Artist. In 2020 he began working extensively with Greek rapper Negros Tou Moria. This collaboration has resulted in the album “Thrasos” (ΘΡΑCOC), where Odydoze blends his distinctive mix of rattling synthetic percussion and heavy bass with Greek rebetiko and demotic melodies. Odydoze is currently working on a series of collaborations with American rappers.
