Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen, PhD, is a psychologist and President of the Michael Cohen Group, LLC (MCG), a research and consulting firm. Dr. Cohen has extensive experience in media-based learning and education and the health and well-being of children and families.

Dr. Cohen has conducted research for clients in the private, non-profit, and public sectors, including YouTube, Disney, LEGO, PBS, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the US Department of Education, and the European Commission. In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Michael was senior crisis communications consultant to NYC and Principal Investigator of the seminal study “The Effects of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on the Mental Health of Public-School Children.” Dr. Cohen serves on the board of the Children’s Museum of Manhattan (CMOM), is widely published, and holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
