Mary Kolonia

Mary is a filmmaker from Greece with extended international experience in various creative and managerial roles within the communications, entertainment, and film industries (DDB, Grey Indonesia, Warner Bros., Village Roadshow, ATTIKA, Kidarte, Piece of Cake). She has studied Law at the University of Athens, holds an MSc in Marketing from Stirling University (UK), and has been further educated at Harvard Business School. She is an alumna of NYFA (Film Directing, 2000) and Sundance Institute (Film Directing).

The award-winning film “The Armchair on the Pavement” is her debut short film (besides her student films) as a writer, director, and producer and is funded by the Hellenic Broadcast Corporation (ERT). Mary has been awarded by the Scriptwriters Guild of Greece. Her short film “The Wolf’s Mouth” has been selected for Drama Pitching Lab 2023.

In 2024, she founded the filmmaker-run production outfit Lucid Dreamers Productions. She is Secretary General at WIFT GR and Executive Producer at the Anafi Int'l Film Festival.
