Marina Siotou

Marina Siotou was born in Athens. She is an actress, director, and screenwriter. She graduated from the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, and from ARCHI Drama School (Nelly Karra). She has collaborated with Syllas Tzoumerkas and Christos Passalis in the film “The City and the City,” and with Elina Psykou and Nikos Kolioukos in “The Chaos She Left Behind.” Together with Zoi Sigalou, she has written the short films “Corona Australis,” “Transparent,” “Ode à Aphrodite,” and “The Beast that Walks Like a Man.”

The latter will wrap up shooting in 2023 and is directed by Nikos Kolioukos. In 2021, Goethe-Institut selected her as an emerging playwright for the “New Stages Southeast” program for her first play “Perseids or How to Party Hard”; co-directed with Zoe Sigalou, the play will be staged at Future N.O.W., the Onassis Stegi’s theater festival for young creators, in spring 2023.
