Marianna Trias

Dr. Marianna Trias has been the WHO Representative and Head of the Country Office in Greece since 2018. She has over 26 years of experience in public health and has served WHO at the country, regional and global level in several senior positions. Dr. Trias served in the WHO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, in the Department of Country Cooperation and Collaboration with the UN System, in the WHO Country Office in Beijing, China, as Senior Programme Management Officer, and in the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office in Manila, Philippines, as Regional Adviser for Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition among other positions. Dr. Trias received her Medical Degree from the University of Turku in her native Finland and her Master of Science in Health Systems Management from the University of London, UK.
