Marianna Economou
Marianna Economou studied social anthropology, photojournalism, and video production in London.
Since 2000 she directs documentary films, of Greek and international coproduction, that are distributed internationally and many of them have received awards in festivals across the world. Her filmography includes, among others, the films: “The School,” “My Place in the Dance,” “Bells, Threads, and Miracles,” “Listen To Me,” “Sfaktirias Road,” “Food for Love,” “The Longest Run,” and “When Tomatoes Met Wagner,” which was the Greek selection for Oscars 2020.
Marianna is a member of the European Film Academy and the Hellenic Film Academy, as well as president of the Greek Documentary Association.
