Io Voulgaraki

Io Voulgaraki (b. 1985, Athens) studied Greek Literature at the University of Athens, drama at the National Theater of Greece Drama School, and graduated with honors from the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, at Leonid Heifetz’s class (2008-13).

She has staged productions of several drama plays, such as Alexander Pushkin’s “A Feast in Time of Plague” with the PYR theater company, at ‘Vyrsodepsio’, Athens, in 2013; Suzanne Lebeau’s “The Ogreling” at the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT), Moscow, in 2013; Friedrich Schiller’s “The Robbers” with PYR, at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, in 2014; and Dimitris Dimitriadis’s “KassandER – Annunciation of Kassandra” at Grotowski Institute, Wroclaw, in 2015.
