Fotis Siotas

Fotis Siotas was born in Thessaloniki. He took up music at the age of six, as a member of the Aghias Triados Choir. At the age of nine, he began studying violin and singing at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. He has been a member of such Thessaloniki bands as Podilates, Boomstate, Episkeptes, and Evi Evan. In 1993, he began working with Sokratis Malamas and Thanasis Papakonstantinou, performing with them live and on their recordings. He also worked with the guitarist Bambis Pavlopoulos. In 2005, he created the duo Sancho 003 with the guitarist Kostas Pantelis, releasing two records (“We Buy Gold” and “MUZGA”).

In 2016, he founded the band “SOTIRES”.

He has contributed to more than one hundred recordings as a violinist, orchestrator, and singer.

In 2019, he released an album titled “Ta Deytera”, writing the music himself, and with lyrics by Thodoris Gkonis.

He has collaborated with the director Aris Binaris on two theater productions: “Wake Up, Vasilis” (National Theater of Greece) and “The Dance of Fire” (Piraeus Municipal Theater).

He has written music for the sinequanon dance company, the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, the National Theater of Greece, the National Theater of Northern Greece, and for dozens of stage productions.
