Dimitris Karagiannakidis

He has participated in concerts and festivals as a soloist and as a member of German and Dutch orchestras in various European countries, China, and Brazil. He collaborates with pianist Alexios Lizos in Duo Plegma and has performed as a soloist with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra. Since 2020 he has held the position of principal cello teacher at the CJD Youth Orchestra with appearances at the Berlin Philharmonic. He is artistic director of the Pelion Festival. He studied at the “Synchrono” Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the Higher Academy of Music in Münster, Germany, and the Amsterdam Conservatory (specializing in string quartet).
