Despina Krey

Despina Krey lives and works in Athens. She studied History and Theory of Art at the University of Ioannina and at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. She has worked at the 55th Venice Biennale (American Pavilion), the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, MOMus – the Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, the NEON Culture and Development Organization, Radio Athènes, and the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens. Since 2017, she has been working at Gagosian Athens. In 2017, she co-founded CURRENT Athens with Orestis Mavroudis, an online platform for the non-hierarchical promotion of contemporary art. She is the exhibition coordinator at the artist-run space CLOSING SOON.

Despina Krey is a participant of the Tailor-Made Residencies program for 2023-24.
