Angeliki Stellatou

Angeliki Stellatou was born in Athens in 1963. Graduating from the Greek National School of Dance with honors, she continued her studies at the Merce Cunningham Studio in New York. In 1986, she co-founded Edafos Dance Theater with Dimitris Papaioannou. Alongside this, she continued to dance for such companies as Natassa Zouka Dance Theater, Sinequanon, amorphy.org, X-it, and others. From 1992 onwards, she worked additionally as a movement consultant for the theater, alongside such directors as Anna Kokkinou, Tassos Bandis, Vangelis Theodoropoulos, Thomas Moschopoulos, and others. She has also choreographed and directed works of her own: “An Angel in My Way” by Maria Efstathiadi (2001), “a little before( )a little after” (2006), and “cann.ib.als” (2009). She has appeared as an actor in the productions “Waiting for Godot” (2008), directed by Cezaris Grauzinis, and “Fucking Job” (2009), directed by Angelos Mentis. She received a Greek State accolade for her solo performance in “Steps” (part of the Edafos Dance Theater work “Human Thirst”, directed by Dimitris Papaioannou), and won the Koula Pratsika Prize for her choreographic work on “Motor Town”, directed by Vangelis Theodoropoulos.
