Andrea Bonetti

Andrea Bonetti was born in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1968. He studied Biological Sciences in Pavia, Italy, and in 1995 he moved to Greece to research the birds of the Gialova. His research had already approached him to wildlife photography, which eventually became his main occupation. Andrea is now based in Athens, where he photographs politics and theatre. Since January 2015 he is the official photographer of the leader of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras. His pictures have been published in various magazines, books, and newspapers around the world.

Living in a big city, Andrea soon became aware of an issue that in Greece no one seems to be interested in: Air Pollution. He created the blog cleanairingreece.org in order to help raise people's awareness on this big environmental and health problem, that in Greece alone kills over 16,000 people every year.
