Alix Bizet
Alix Bizet
Alix Bizet Studio is based in South East London, centered on material research, material application, and social and educational programs with museums, universities, and local schools. Her work centers on a critical and analytical approach to design and material research and investigates relationships between our bodies and spaces, objects, systems, and media narratives. Her work is often focused on materials and their experimental exploratory features. She questions the relationship we have with our bodies, design, and society to challenge the norms and conventions and using creativity and design to disrupt and to create space for discussion with different audiences. Through her self-initiated research, she seeks to create situations where design and material innovation comes together to give shape to future scenarios and new narratives for minorities and diversity. Alix Bizet is currently a lecturer at the Kingston Art Foundation.
