His composition "On a Bus," from the Pictureless Soundtrack suite, was performed by the Canadian Brass ensemble and was an immediate success.

In 2023, Livitsanos and Yannis Niarros co-created "Matchbox: The Musical" (Onassis Stegi 2023), which was one of Onassis Stegi’s most successful productions that year. In 2024, the music will be released as a collector's vinyl edition.

In 2023, he also composed the score for Antonis Tsonis' film "Brando with a Glass Eye," which he recorded with the City of Prague Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, he composed music for the films "Broken Vein" by Yannis Economides and "The Birthday Party" by Miguel Angel Jiménez, which starred Willem Daffoe.

The world premiere of Livitsanos' "Sunbeam" Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra, commissioned by the Athens State Orchestra and featuring internationally renowned trombonist Achilleas Liarmakopoulos, will take place in 2025. This is the first piece of its kind in Greece.

Livitsanos is one of the most active session musicians and arrangers in the Greek music scene. He is particularly well-known for working in a variety of musical genres, having collaborated with the industry's most acclaimed artists and composed music for theatre, film, and educational materials.

Alexandros Livitsanos is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2024/25.
