Open Call: Big Bang Seminar
Onassis Stegi invites musicians, composers, filmmakers and dramaturgs to discuss contemporary practices of creating music performances for a young audience
How can you encourage the exchange of information and technical knowledge of creating, producing and presenting music performances for kids, between artists from different European countries?
Nobody appreciates music quite like kids. After five years of exploring music through Big Bang Festival, a music festival devoted to their magnificent sense of curiosity, we are back with an educational workshop on creating music performances for kids.
Onassis Stegi organizes a music workshop with speakers from Greece and abroad, inviting all musicians, composers, filmmakers and dramaturgs to develop their skills and knowledge in a way that will contribute to creating innovative music and performances for children.
The main goals of Big Bang Seminar is to improve the quality of the non-commercial music landscape for children in Europe, stimulate the exchange of information and know-how among European regions on presenting and producing music with and for children, inspire artists, cultural workers and creative players with skills and know-how that contribute to strengthening the music landscape for children, improve audience development strategies to increase involvement of children in music and give them a European perspective.
*This is a two-day workshop, co-funded by "Creative Europe" program by the European Union.
