The "new New Wave": An album from Veego Records dedicated to people with autism, with the support of Onassis Culture

At the Onassis Foundation we know well that music loves autism. That’s why the support of the new album “The new New Wave” by Veego Records was a natural choice for us. The album features 23 songs from a new generation of artists, including Pavlos Pavlidis, LEX, Nalyssa Green, The Boy, Melentini, Paidi Trauma and Pan Pan. All proceeds will be donated to organizations that support people on the autism spectrum.

“The new New Wave” is a compilation inspired by and dedicated to people diagnosed with autism and their families. Released by Veego Records, the album aims to raise awareness and encourage whoever holds it in their hands to embrace information.

As pediatrician – developmental pediatrician Alexandra Klimentopoulou writes on the album cover: “Societies grow when they include rather than exclude diversity. Because autism is not a choice, but its acceptance is.”

All the participating artists gladly donated their works to the album for this purpose: 23 songs that have been released exclusively on digital platforms. The title of the compilation, “The new New Wave”, represents this new generation of Greek artists, who, apart from coming together in the compilation, constitute a scene that brings change to music matters. The album cover and the artwork was designed by the artist Giorgos Maraziotis.

All the album’s proceeds will be donated to organizations that host, educate, support, and employ people on the autism spectrum.

The album was pressed with the sponsorship of Onassis Culture and is released in 1000 vinyls.
