Scholarships 2020-2021. Shaping the society of the future.
The results of the Onassis Foundation scholarship program for the new academic year have been announced.
Iason Sideris, Onassis Scholar for 2019-20, conducted a Master’s in Robotics – Artificial Intelligence at the ETH Zurich in Switzerland.
Since 1978, we release potential, having offered more than 7,300 Scholarships. Every year we support bold ideas and brilliant minds through the Onassis Foundation Scholarship Program. This year we awarded a total of 78 scholarships for studies in Greece and Abroad, emphasizing on topics of the “here and now” such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Bio-Innovation, Law in the digital age and Interactive Virtual Education.
Among the new Onassis Scholars, Dimitris Vlachogiannis is investigating the integration of autonomous vehicles on the roads in order to reduce emissions and accidents. Despoina Georgiou is conducting her PhD at the University of Cambridge on labor law and competition law in digital platforms such as Uber and Deliveroo. People with bold ideas shape the society of the future.
