The ear-splitting voices and lives of Dimitri’s family of four, introduced on Stegi’s Main Stage in November 2022, are now recorded for endless replay. With music by Yiannis Niarros and Alexandros Livitsanos and a libretto by Yannis Economides and Doris Avgerinopoulos, “Matchbox: The Musical” will be heard in every apartment, shattering the silence of the “holy Greek family”.
Nine musicians, eleven performers, and an ensemble of other contributors turn the family carnage we witnessed on stage into an “epic, folk, gritty, dark, hilarious, ridiculous, serious, moving, uplifting” sonic experience.
The album is released in limited, numbered copies, pressed on Matchbox’s signature colors: black and red. The edition includes exclusive photographs from the performance and separate cases featuring the iconic fan. A true collector’s gem, it is set to become an invaluable addition to any music and vinyl collection.
