“Halepas” made accessible for all
On February 24, 25 & 26 at the Main Stage
We go to the theater, all together.
“Halepas,” the stage production directed by Argyro Chioti with a libretto written by The Boy, is made accessible for all, for three of its performances. On February 24, 25 & 26, the performance will offer simultaneous interpretation in the Greek sign language, captions in Greek for deaf or hard of hearing persons, as well as audio description in Greek for visually impaired persons. “Halepas,” presented at the Onassis Stegi Main Stage, is a historical immersion inside the inner self and mind of the great Greek sculptor who, after forty years of mental breakdown, was reborn to reach his full artistic maturity.
The accessibility to the performance reflects two important values that lay at the core of the Onassis Foundation’s activities: diversity and inclusion. Among these activities, a notable initiative was the upgrading of the Acropolis infrastructure, with the installation of an up-to-date inclined elevator, a project designed to enhance accessibility to the most important World Heritage Site in Athens.
