This year, we return with performances made to remind us that we, humans, are the sum of our relationships and our need to connect, come closer to each other, and share what unites us. From maternal love to falling in love with different creatures and from our relationship with ourselves to those relationships that mold a person into a citizen, an artist, someone great, happy, afraid, and, above all, alive.

WE GROW CLOSER TO EACH OTHER. WE GROW CLOSER WITH ALL THAT UNITES US.

On the Onassis Stegi Main Stage, the poetic oeuvre of C. P. Cavafy is restored to life for the second time through the melodic cosmos of Dimitris Papadimitriou (“… an Alexandrian writing on an Alexandrian”), George Koutlis conjures a spiritual rave experience based on the work-manifest “Oxygen” by Ivan Vyrypaev, while Greek theater’s wunderkind, Mario Banushi, puts together a performance hymn to all those women who nurtured us through life (“MAMI”). In an Onassis Stegi co-production, Romeo Castellucci directs Isabelle Huppert and fourteen men in Racine’s radical work “Bérénice,” which deals with madness, truth, and the folly of loving and being loved. In dance, the world-renowned iconoclastic choreographer Damien Jalet provokes a cosmogony in motion through his work "Planet [wanderer]," while the international minimalist Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos delivers his most personal work to date and, for the first time, conjures movement with words, the materiality of sound with the musicality of the bodies ("My Fierce Ignorant Step”—working title).

SIX PERFORMANCES FROM ONASSIS STEGI’S NEW SEASON INVITE YOU TO LOSE YOURSELF IN A BIGGER-THAN-LIFE ROLLERCOASTER OF “RELATIONSHIPS.”
