This program is announced annually and over the course of its 25 years of operation has supported the Onassis Scholars through:

  • grants for publication of a PhD thesis which has received recognition in the academic community,
  • funding of research projects with the participation of at least one Onassis Foundation scholar,
  • funding of scientific conferences or important cultural events with the participation of an Onassis Foundation Scholar and with the possible involvement of personalities from abroad.

This special grant has been awarded to 112 Onassis Foundation scholars until 2024.
